Call blocking app

Does anyone know of a smartphone app to block specific phone numbers? For a coupe of weeks, I have been getting calls from 240-241-7111. When I pick up, no one is there- if I call back, the number has been "changed or disconnected". A yahoo search finds the location of the number and links to all the other people annoyed by the same thing I am experiencing. It's a bit disconcerting, because only blood has this number and friends/ work still have my old phone number. It would be nice to just not have to deal with it.

I have a similar number that's an automated spammer. I can block them through my phone company (Verizon) but it only last 90 days. So I added them as a contact to my phone and set them to always go to voicemail.

What type of phone do you have? With a Droid it's easy .. with the IPhone.. Not so easy....

Not sure if your CARRIER can block specific #'s.

My phone is an Incredible. Android OS.

Check out Privacy Star. A buddy uses it and says it works great.

if i don't recognize the number i don't answer it, if they don't leave a message then they dialed the wrong number , simple

This is clearly more than a wrong number. Some days there are 3 or more separate calls. I am not a terribly patient individual, and I am fast losing what little I do possess.
