U guys think dash 4 lines for the tranny two small?

terrible one

-4AN is about 1/4" diameter which seems a little small to me for the transmission cooler lines, but stock size probably wasn't much bigger

I've got the same set up. 1/8 thread fittings with 5/16 trans cooler lines. You're good to go.  :2thumbs:

Dash 4 is too small. Dash 5 is the minimum size.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I've always used -6, and i really like the Aeroquip Socketless hose and fittings.  It is relatively cheap, and gives you a lot of options for adapters and such.

I had a 94 Ram 1500 and was able to cut the rubber hose and push Aeroquip -6 Socketless fittings into it with no problems.  i did this to run an additional trans cooler after the factory in-radiator cooler for towing.  I put at least 130k miles on that set-up without any issues.

I've also used the Socketless fittings on regular (carb type) and high pressure (fuel injection) fuel hose.  As long as you get the right size fitting, they push into the hose just fine and i haven't had any leaks or problems.
