Yeah it was a great day and a great turnout , good to be cruising in the 66 again.  Met some great new freinds and saw a lot of stunning Mopars.   Moparfest really puts on a great show.

Thanks ODZKing!!!  I even saw my '71 Blue charger in your New Hamburg night street show pics.  (second row).  This year was an amazing show.  I was looking for a sign of some sort for DC but didn't see any.  There's always next year to get something organised again.

Yep, it was great meeting everyone and putting faces to names.  Had a great day hanging with 1ofNone and son on Sunday too. The weather could not have been better, cool evenings and 70 degree days.
I am looking forward to seeing those vids of the heli ride!!!!
The pics are now updated to include (only) a couple from Sunday. (Don, I borrowed your Mopar Shuttlecraft pic, I forgot to get one ... hope you don't mind)
But I did get some of the new Dart SXT.  Nice little car, fairly well equipped and only $22,000 and change.
It was locked or I would have gotten some of the inside, but it looked comfortable.
The spot was great and if you get there early enough on Saturday there is PLENTY of room, we definately have to get something together for next year with more the Charger forum(s) group.

Incidently a fellow from our sister club down the thruway in Rochester (RochesterMopars) won the Duster!  We saw him on the way home at one of the rest areas ... he had a grin from ear to ear!!!!! ;D

Do you find a lot of late model stuff at Moparfest or does it tend to be all classics?

RIDELIKEHELL

I'd say that there is a lot of late model stuff there and there is more and more with all the new stuff that has come out  :Twocents:

I'm rarely even in Canada during August but NEVER the weekend of Moparfest.  Unless I go to another job or the weekend gets moved it isn't likely you will ever see me there.

DC_1

I couldn't make it this year.

Btw, was there any buzz about moving it?

Not a word.
If they are running out of room, they should limit the amount of brand new Challengers. They almost out-numbered classic cars this year.  It is rediculous!  :slap: I can see those at a dealer showroom.

B5charger

There was probably 200 late model challengers/chargers/magnums that in my opinion translates to some future growth space at the New Hamburg location for years to come.

TUFCAT

If they limited the number of late model cars per category the problem of new cars overtaking the showfield could be solved.  :scratchchin:

B5charger

Limiting #'s is one thing, I just don't think they should allow a late model which is not special interest into the show field.  My '71 was nothing special in the 70's and I'm sure gramps didn't take into the show fields when he went to car shows back then.  Perhaps in 30-40 years these stock challengers and chargers will have their day.  As long as there is still room, then I don't think it's an issue; but I would hate to see it get to the point where a current year charger takes a spot away from a '50/60/70's anything mopar.

Ghoste

Are there many people milling around the new ones taking photos?

J.Bond

LX people kinda hang out with them selves, which is Ok by me, however, I was under the impression there were rules connected to this show.I wonder if anyone has ever complained or whether they allow the late models thru the gate to keep revenue up.I know I have zero intrest in them.
