I was browsing Ebay and I found this 1969 charger with some panels that look to be off of a Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Charger. Now I am not sure if there was a cult following for the movie before the 2000s when people started making clones, but could this be parts off of one of the cars?

Never say never I suppose but the parts look to be more bright yellow to me than the greenish yellow of Citron Yella.  Who knows though?

Tilar

His user name suggests he might at least be a fan. Was any of the show filmed around Albuquerque?

I sent the seller a message a few days ago asking questions about the yellow parts on the car. He never replied.

Funny how many of these oddities make repeat appearances huh?

This car was on CL awhile back. I called the guy but he already sold it. Parts were from a clone car, can't remember what he said happened to it tho.
Takes a MOPAR to catch a mopar!

vin has screws in it, not rivets.  something doesn't add up.

Tilar

Damn, I looked right at it and missed that.

Hmm, but still the XP tag.  I wonder if it was once a 318 car?

i wish if people were going to cheat,  they would learn to do it right.

Ghoste

Is he cheating though?  Maybe he had a really rusty dash frame and moved the VIN tag over and just didn't know about the correct rivets.

hawkeye

might not be (cheating).  came with tan interior, now appears to be mostly blue, with green door pads on the trunk.  could be 3 or 4 cars put together.   still should have done a better job transferring vin.  all it is going to do now is raise red flags.

I think that is exactly what we have.  :yesnod:

I don't think there's a doubt, the question is just how many different cars there are.   Couple different years too, are those high-back buckets I see?

I think it's pretty innocent to see the rivets instead of screws.  I worked on cars all my life and most all of them have rivets in any ID plate.  Using screws is an invitation for criminals.  They 'should' have been rivets in the first place.
