Maiden Voyage Ride - Interior Next, but I need help.

My buddies and I finally got the motor running to a point we actually feel comfortable enough to take it out to the streets for a "Maiden Voyage." BTW, thanks so much for decoding my fender tag and suggestions.  I will try to have the seats restored if possible. If not, may have to dish out the $$ for the Lengendary seat covers (around $1000 for the front SE R/T seats...ouch!).

A few stupid questions for the smart guys on this board:
1. How to remove the shift knob?
2. How to remove the console (got all the visible screws out but something is not letting it free)?
3. Are there reproduction console/trims out there and what's the best source?

Thanks ahead and hope y'all enjoy the "Maiden Voyage" video.

love the video  :yesnod:  thanks for the cruse   :2thumbs:

i had the same thoughts when i was doing the resto on mine ! looked at the prices of covers for  the leather front buckets !! , could not justify spending that on seat covers at the time,  when i had  my charger stripped down to the very last nut , bolt  & clip ,  thought new set of M & H harnesses was more important!  &  bought the vinyl set in stead  from legendary :yesnod: ( not that i cut any corners but mine were'nt exactly OEM type resto with chassis connectors, torque boxes etc etc )   :yesnod: :Twocents:

there is a  small allen head grub screw that holds the shift knob on ,  remove this & unscrew the whole lot
see picture below for console attaching screws

console trim  , have a look here  , yearone do loads of stuff, but shipping is expensive , maybe able to source else where , not sure what the repop stuff is like , i reused / restored all my original bits apart from the woodgain decal

Thanks for posting the pics and very nice job you did there with your interior! What about the rest of your car, the outside?

My interior right now is quite messy and in the middle of removing the heater core. I wasn't sure what was behind the glove box so I pulled the liner out and sort of distorted (crunched) it.

The carpet and all the seats are out. Having the seats cleaned (redye) with my fingers crossed, hoping they will turn out okay.
Also found the build sheet in the back of the rear bench...pretty happy when it's all intact.

Didn't look closely but did not see where the front speakers are? :shruggy:
Not sure it had front speakers or not?

Will post some pics as I going along.

:o  you found the broad cast sheet  , awesome stuff  :yesnod: :2thumbs:

thanks for the complements on the interior   , although i striped the car down to the very last nut bolt clip etc , i only replaced what was really necessary with the  interior , the carpet i put back was one that the second owner fitted 26 years ago ,  interior door panels arm rests etc etc are the original etcetc  out side pretty much the same ,  only replaced what i had to , will post up  pictures if you want  , let me know  :2thumbs:
nothing against  restored over restored cars etc they are awesome :drool5: :drool5: , with every thig new or NOS or re plated etc etc !!  but not the sort of look i was after  :scratchchin:

one front speaker dash mounted (((( original factory location is centre top of dash board directly above radio ))))  mine at the minute & one in the back  ,  will fit a double one in front  & two in back , when i get  modern guts put in the original radio ,

yes  please post pictures & updates & stuff , we all love looking at  anything charger  :yesnod:  :coolgleamA: :popcrn:

Tantop - Thanks for your help and tips so far. I've done quite a bit since but not 100% done. I will post pictures on general site so others can view too.
