Because what you see in BrianShaunessy's initial post on this thread is essentially only an image link to the .gif image he posted in the following thread (on the second page, fairly near the bottom of the page):

The .gif image itself was only uploaded in one spot, and linking to it as an image keeps you from having to save it under a different name and re-upload what's already on the server.


Maybe what we could do is start a thread with really cool .gif files such as this one.  Fairly computer-savvy board members could then copy and paste an image link into whatever thread they deem appropriate.  One upload, less bandwidth consumption for Troy (I think).

This is a great idea. Maybe make this thread a sticky and change the title?

In the theme of adding our own emoticons to link to....
