What 1 or 2 food/s are you addicted to that you can't live without?

I do NOT mean drinks either. Has to be food.

Mine is any ice cream/ice milk/frozen yogurt. No one flavor either. I like almost any flavor. And, I don't know what kinds they have in other states or countries, but here in Wisconsin, you can walk into just about any grocery store and find about 50 different flavors between about 6 different makers. Deans, Zurhied, Old Time, Schopes, Cedar Crest, Bunny Blue are just the few brands that pop into mind. If I have to pick one favorite, it would be mint chocolate chip. I have eaten so much ice cream in one setting, that my tongue actually got frost bite :P And I have done that more then once. I love it when my mouth gets cold. Just like sucking on ice cubes. McDonald's in Wisconsin has chocolate/banana shakes right now. I wish you could find that flavor in the grocery stores!  :drool5: It ROCKS!

My other addiction is pizza. Preferably, ham & pineapple or cheese and sausage supreme. I like any kind crust. :drool5:

Can't live without:

Milk - I probably drink at least a gallon a week, and poultry (chicken/turkey)...probably eat one or the other at least once a day...sometimes 2 or 3 times.

Would rather NOT live without:

Ice Cream, cereal, bread, beef (lean)...I especially like stews and roasts, OJ, bananas, broccoli.
Life is a highway...

broccoli  :puke: I too like everything else you listed. I used to drink almost gallon a day of milk til I got lactose intolerant to it. I'm lucky that is all I have issues with. I love chicken too :yesnod:

I am a big milk drinker too. I go through a lot of Ice Cream in my house. I am addicted to those Pecan Sandies cookies. I also really like the ones with chocolate chips in them. I also think gravy should be a food group. My future cardiologist is going to love me.

I can't say there is a food that I can't live without so much anymore, as I've made a major shift in my eating habits.

No more snacking and eating for pleasure, as it's what's gotten me into the complete lack of shape I am currently in, but that's another story.

Lately it's been these mini oranges called Clementines that my sister showed me when she was down here for Christmas.

Perfect snack size, and seedless to boot.

Other than that it's been anything taco/burrito related.

Especially hummus burritos.

Flame on, but spicy hummus with banana peppers, some lettuce, feta, cheddar/jack cheeses and bell pepper wrapped up in a warm torilla is the bomb!

Tonight was chicken tacos, and man they rocked.

for me its french bread pizza, and peanuts- i eat at least 2 cans of nuts a week, and have the pizza at least once, stoffers deluxe with hot sauce is the best!

There isn't really any one thing I'm addicted to, but there are these jalepeno, potato chips called "Krunchers" that are awesome. It's the only one that I would eat the whole damn bag in one sitting once I open it. I dump some in a bowl so I don't have the bag in front of me, but then I just get up & refill the bowl anyway.  ::)

Hey Formula,

You have to try that "Mountain Man" roasted habenero pepper sauce I posted on the other thread. It's not one of those "burn your mouth off your face" sauces, it's the roasted pepper flavor that makes it great. I like hot & spicy, but I also like flavor. One of the things I don't care for is when something is so hot you can't taste the food. There are pepper sauces way hotter than Mountain Man, but this one is my favorite.

Post it up here - I'd give it a try.

I have come to realize there are somethings that are best as a treat for when you go out.  I do cook chicken wings at home once in a while but they are best when cooked by the deep fryer at a restaurant rather than at my house.  I find the house stinks for two days after using the deep fryer.

I feel the same about blackened swordfish.  Cooked it once at home, smoke alarms going off, windows wide open at - 11C and my 1.5 year old Daughter walking around coughing.  Another one for the list of items to order at a restaurant 'cause I am not doing that one at home agin!

BTW - It did taste awesome!

Shakey,

I understand about deep fryers, but have you tried using peanut oil? The best way is to deep fry, but you can bake for 1 hour at 375 F, turning over after 30 minutes. . As far as the sauce, qty (1) 6-oz bottle of Crystal hot sauce, 1/2 ts (teaspoon) salt, 1/2 ts pepper, 1/2 ts cayenne pepper, 1 Tbls (tablespoon) distilled vinegear, 2 ts dijon mustard, 1 Tbls fresh lemon juice, 1/2 cube butter. Simmer all, and pour over cooked wings. Oh my...!  :yesnod:

Good Eating to you!

Thanks, O_M.

I'll definitely check out the sauce then. :yesnod:

Also the chips.

I really like whatever brand jalapeno chips Subway carries (really love Kettle Chips' Sea Salt & Vinegar flavor too!), but the Krunchers sounds pretty tempting. :2thumbs:

I never heard of those mini oranges before. And I LOVE any Mexican foods long as it isn't too spicy hot.  :yesnod:

I don't understand the whole "wings" thing. I mean, if I want to eat chicken, I want some meat with a few bones, not bones with a little meat. The breasts are the best part.

Mexican* food is one of my absolute favorite types of food...other than pizza, which has evolved to the point where I'm not sure if it can be legally thought of as Italian any more. :icon_smile_big:

*In fact, I may very well have been mexican in a former life, because I like the food so much. I bet I got shot crossing the border. :D Ya know...I may even be related to Ponch, somewhere in the blood line. :icon_smile_big:
If all that sounds too far fetched, then I'm goin' with the story that I used to be a dog in a former life...because I tend to pee on things when I get drunk.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Ever try cooking things in beer, it'll have to count. If I have time & some extra beer, I cook hot dogs in it & they taste a lot better. I proved my point to a few people when I did one for them in water, & one in beer & asked which they thought was better. With beer of course. :2thumbs:
