Hi Guys

Ive been thinking about it for a few months and im gonna go for it. My 68 charger is currently Jet Black and although an awesome colour she is not perfect, ie some blistering etc. So im gonna go for a custom respray, my painter is fantastic and has given me a Kandy colour chart. I really like the look of kandy Cobalt Blue over black, as i want her still moderately dark in colour. Does anyone have a pic of a car with this colour combination? Ive seen Cobalt blue over silver and its just too bright for me.

What do u guys think of a good Kandy colour for my charger, i know the purists wont approve but she will look lovely when finished.

thanks guys

Rene ;)

No pics to show you but I think the Cobalt Blue over Black would look killer. :Twocents:

Hello Rene and welcome. I'm one of those purists but I also feel that it's your car and you should make it into what you want!  :2thumbs: send us some pictures when it's done.

I did once a cobalt blue candy over black metallic.
It was almost black, but when there was sun/light, it was blue on the edges.
I also did a Harley with blue candy and black tinted clear coat, nice.
I have no pics, sorry.

Don't focus on just black and silver as basecoats.  Gold is my favorite when it comes to candies.  Gold under candy apple red is stunning.  Before doing the car you'll want to spray a bunch of swatches with different basecoats.
