Different stroke for different folks, the guy who wrote that, is kind of on a soap box, spewing hatred, I guess that's his right, I think it could be done differently too, but cudo's to the guy for trying at least, he doesn't try to pass it off as a Surebird or Daytona, it is what it is... I probably wouln't do it either, but I still kind of like it & I have seen far worse attemps at winged cars or clone...

Loved my 1987 "L" body.  Got a best of 52 mpg on the highway.  Never had any issues with it.   Carried an 8 3/4 axle in it sideways!!   Had almost 100K on it when it got totalled out.  Miss that car...

I liked mine too and always had a soft spot for the Rampage.  Never owned one but thought it would suit my purposes well.
As for them being crap, hey they were cheap disposable cars when new.  If you were paying Cadillac prices for them, it would be different but they were at the bottom of the price ladder.  As for the Rampage, if you want a real truck to haul big loads, then you pay for and buy a big truck.

I drive an 88 Shadow every day....over 212,000 miles....still going strong....it's actually a great little car

my Shadow was so slow, my grandfather commented on it.  it only had like 45,000 miles on it so it was still tight, but damn.  0-60 was measured in weeks.


The GLHS is the only one of those I'd ever want to ride in again.  I've been in a bunch.  Mom owned an omni 024 when I was a kid, too.
