Dash Wiring Help Needed

I am almost complete with the wiring for the dash and I'm trying to figure out where all remaining connections go.  Please note that I bought this car disassembled and in boxes so I have NO reference photos taken from when it was taken apart.  These are the last few issues I need solved before this step is done and any help would be appreciated.  This is on a '72 SE 318 Auto.

Let me know if anything needs to be elaborated on for better understanding.  Thanks!

Issue 1: No idea where this goes. (location: right behind radio)
It has a single yellow wire coming out and it looks to be connected to a flasher (in the pic behind connector) that has 3 prongs.

Issue 2: Consealed Headlight Relay (SOLVED)

How do I connect these?  I think the green wire goes where the black circle is?  If so, what connects to blue, red circles?

Issue 3:  Cigar lighter (SOLVED)

Schematic only shows the middle connection.  What are the 2 prongs on the sides and where do they go?

Issue 4:  Open wires  (location: behind instruments)

Where do these lil' bastards go?  The one in my hand has two blue wires with white stripes on them.  And I haven't found anything that has 2 prongs shaped accordingly to the other one.

Lastly, Issue 5:  Instrument ground (SOLVED)

Do all the red circles get connected with one ground wire in series?  In the schematic, the blue circle connecter has 2 black wires coming out and my harness only has 1?

Issue 3:  Cigar lighter

That is an aftermarket cigar lighter -  the center prong is for a spade connector in case you dont use the center bullet connector. The outside spade is for grounding - but since your car has a metal dash it should ground to that without needing to use this spade

Thanks a ton!  Now that I know how easy it is, I might actually swap out the bullet connector for the spade becuase it's pretty worn out.  One step closer to finishing the dash.

Issue 2: Consealed Headlight Relay

You are right, the green wire goes where the black circle is. The blue and red join together, the smaller canister is a circuit breaker and should have +12 volts when the ignition is on, and supplies power to the relay (the centre terminal that you have circled in red).

Thank you Max!  You're a scholar and a gentleman!

Still need help on #'s 1, 4 & 5.  Keep 'em coming, guys.

I'm still digging for answers...  The 2 prong terminal in issue 4 looks like one that connects into a seatbelt wire.  :scratchchin:  But why would it be so close to the cluster?

Solved issue 5.  Connected the the red circles minus the fuel ground.  Ran a wire down to connect to sending unit.  If anyone could chime in on issue 1 or 4 I could wrap this part of the project up.  For #1, are yellow wires accessories?

number 1... feeds the ign key courtesy light. A yellow wire must be coming out from inside column IF ign key courtesy ligh is mounted

number 4... blue feeds any accesory feeded from RUN circuit ( maybe seatbelt stuff like you mentioned ? it could be ). I used for feed my powered antenna. I can't recall AT THIS MOMENT which other acc must be feeded from RUN circuit. The angled plug its for the Lights on warning buzzer. Uses an extra pigtail harness what links the buzzer from that angled plug

on number 5, the red circles linking deal originally is a WIRE with the 90º bullet kind terminals to plug into the gauges studs, like the other ones already attached to gauges, and the female spade to the dash voltage limiter.

Thanks a ton Nacho!

I don't have the pigtail harness or the buzzer.  The buzzers look pretty pricey so I might just leave it open for now.  That won't hurt anything else, right?  Also, have a pic of the pigtail harness?

Thanks again for helping finish this up!

buzzers can go between $15 and $60. I have a couple NOS that I would sell you cheap IF I was in USA.

this is the CORRECT one, with the right bracket,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-MOPAR-1971-3-HEADLAMP-ON-BUZZER-B-C-BODY-/380252179884?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5888cbcdac&vxp=mtr

but quite often you can find some like this on diff bracket:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-MOPAR-1971-3-HEADLAMP-ON-BUZZER-A-BODY-DUSTER-SWINGER-DEMON-CHRYSLER-SCAMP-/380251159923?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5888bc3d73&vxp=mtr

a little bit cheaper ( I have found it even on $20 ), but works the same and plugs the same... only diff is the room available on dash frame for it. Can be mounted kinda diff though. Being you have hideaways and seatbelts relay there, you must have small room there, but maybe still able to fit. This is the one I have 2 or 3.

harness can be home made. I have a diagram to show

all cars got this open plug to add the option anytime. Just cars with LIGHTING PACKAGE got this harness and buzzer allong with the rest of package included from assembly line

here you can see how is the wire what feed the gauges on positive side coming from limiter ( remember senders drives negative field/ground ).

this is a clock cluster, but wire is the same just reaching dif locations 'cause the diff gauges location

myk

You should try to get your hands on a wiring diagram for your car, if there is one...

Excellent info!  Thanks again for clearing all that up.  If you're ever in the states, I think many of us owe you some
