OER Tic Toc Tach stopped working???

I recently installed a OER Tic Toc Tach in my 68 Charger. Worked perfectly until I went to jump start the Charger and the tach no longer works but the clock does. I checked the connection to the coil and it good. Any ideas?

Hi Tan Top, I ran the positive to the fuse box and the tach wire to the coil. It worked perfect then the tach no longer reads. I just checked the tach post on the back on the gauge and its getting juice from the coil.
OEM is they do not accept returns of electrical parts.

hmmm , can't really offer any help Sorry  other than
   contact an instrument repair shop     thinking there is a company who sells a up to date  electronic circut board to replace the OEM working in a tictoctac ,  , cant remember who though , think it is RTE maybe or  something , these guys do a electronic voltage regulator for the dash gauges also !

I just sent back in a t/t/t to classic Ind. that they said was a OER tach, that was one week from a year old (warrt. period).Called today and new one is on its way.What can a person put in line ,that will protect tach from power surg.ect. that willnot effect tach?
