i found a good deal for some ROSS racing stroker .040 pistons for my 440. guy only has 5 and said had 20 passes on engine before pulled.. i was planning on buying 3 new ones and having the machine shop balance/weigh them and fit them in the 440(bore it .040 over) guy says they wont work with stock rods or crank  :shruggy: said a 4.5 stroker crank and stroker rods had to go with them? i dunno if its true or not.. heres the pistons.. same as the ones the guys selling..

You could make them work, but not very well.

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

Nope. For a start they are stroker pistons, if you put them in with a stock crank they will end up 0.225" in the hole, maybe 7:1. PLus they take .990 pins, stock rods use 1.094".

Challenger340

NOPE, they don't work with stock crank & rods.
