Here's some of the parts you'll need. I spent $1,100 for all this stuff and I still need a floor hump and clutch assy...oh you're shifter should be cheaper, that pistol grip is a B-Body through the console...kind of pricey

I answered your ad but I should copy that information here so it doesn't get lost when the ad expires.

The 4-speed boxes are all the same but be sure to get a small block bellhousing or a scattershield. The tailhousing length is different than an a-body also so watch out for that. With a 318 you could/should go with a 23 spline input shaft which will be cheaper and easier to find than an 18 spline (Hemi) trans. You could even go with a later model overdrive trans and it will come in an aluminum case with a small block bellhousing. The easiest to find are ones out of a truck because a van tailhousing is different enough that it will be tough to use. You can probably find an OD trans at your local junkyard though for $200-300 (or less) and you wouldn't need to ship it.

There is a long post elsewhere on the site that has a list of parts you'll need for a conversion. It is mainly geared toward the 2nd gen cars (68-70) but the basics are the same. As AK posted above, you need the pedal assembly and over center spring, clutch rod, firewall reinforcement plate (not sure on 3rd gens), z-bar and bracket, ball studs for mounting the z-bar, bellhousing, clutch fork and boot, flywheel, clutch assembly, throwout bearing, possibly a bushing for your crank, the trans itself, shifter, shifter rods, shifter boot, trans hump, console including top plates (or skip the console altogether like I did), and reverse light wiring. Depending on what you have to start with, you may also need a shortened driveshaft and different steering column. You also need to cut a really big hole! I am not sure what sort of trans mount was used on 3rd gens but it's probably the same as an e-body so your stock one should work. Don't quote me on that though.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I am just doing my 4 speed conversion on a 69 RT and I don't know where the "over center spring" installs.

Anyone?

71-4 B bodies will require a few things different that the earlier Chargers.

1. You need a four speed tailshaft with the shifter mounting pad at the end of the tailshaft.
2. You need the correct long shifter rods.

In the pic attached by AK Charger, the shifter rods are the short ones, which will not work on your car. In the same picture, you can see the forward shift mount on the trans (the rear one, if there is one, is outside the picture).

Troy answered already alot of my questions before I started to gather parts.....
Reminder : in this tread I was talking about a conversion for a second gen so things can be a bit different for a third gen but alot of parts are the same, and it does'nt mean parts are different in a third gen, they are'nt there.....

Before you start buying parts, check as many pictures as you can find, because people do not always know what the're selling. and it gets worse when you have no clue what you are buying. (It happened to me, i payed for a perfectly good Z bar and pushrod and later I found out they are for use in a E-body).

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
