Wow! And the Border guards let you in?  :icon_smile_big:

Looks like you were doing the touristy thing. How far south did you come anyway? I attended Humboldt State; I do love those redwoods.   :yesnod:

Not to worry, buddy. I would have contacted you if I were coming to SF. We only got as far south as Trinidad. The weather is horrible. Driving wind and torrential downpours for the past 24 hours, here and on the southern Oregon coast. We're doing spring break someplace warm and dry next time.

My old stomping grounds. Ever get out to the Somoa Cookhouse? A little further south than Trinidad, between Arcata and Eureka. Ahh, College days.... ;)

We ate at a fancy little place called "The Eatery" ;) http://www.trinidadeatery.com/ Sounds lame but let me just say the people were nice, the food was great and they got it to us faster than Wendy's does. We've totally been winging it on this trip; no reservations and very little planning ahead but so far (other than the weather) it's been a lot of fun.

Looking at that pic I'm surprised you outside mirrors stayed attatched to the car.
Looking good though!

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I was crowding the driver side (since I could obviously see it better) and came about 1/4" from scraping the mirror but I probably would have had about 4"-6" of space on either side had it been centered. The guy in front of me was in an Exploder and he decided to fold his morrors back just in case.

Speaking of good food and a lot of it, the Samoa Cookhouse can't be beat! If you ever make it down to Sonoma county, Sebastopol/Santa Rosa area, PM me. We could meet for lunch or something.
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Is the Durango wider than your Charger?

I haven't measured the Durango yet to find out. When we still had the Chrysler T&C I measured it, the Charger and my Dakota and found out that the Charger was narrower than the van and shorter than the pickup. That surprised me a little.

:nana: I avoided buying your overpriced gas while there. Filled up in Oregon at $4.19/gal and then crossed the border where it immediately shot up to $4.49. Drove around, saw what there was to see, and then drove back to Oregon with 1/8 of a tank left. Take that you stinking pirates!

Sonora is a cool little town. Been there a few times myself.

You sure bull, or because there was nobody here to pump your gas for you.  :nana:

Yea, I wouldn't know how to do it anyway. ;D Reminds me of a funny story when I went through Washington after being nowhere but Oregon for a long time. My first stop there was for gas and I sat at the pump for five minutes waiting for an attendant before getting pissed and leaving. Then only about 15 minutes later I started protesting the price of my dinner at a Wendy's because I forgot about the sales tax. It's tough being an Oregonian.
