71 Charger K-member

I have a k-member out of a 71 Charger Super-Bee, the question is what other models does it fit in (without having to modify it). I did read somewhere that it only fits 71 B-bodies is this true or not.

All '62-'72 B-body V-8 K-members are physically interchangeable, differences are in the engine brackets, sway bar mount and idler arm mount. That '71 will also fit the '70-'72 E-body.

Wasn't the engine an inch farther back on some years of 1960s B-body K-frames than others?  I swear I heard that once.

Yes, the '66 and later have the engine set back 1 5/8" farther than the '65 and earlier.....like I said, one difference is engine brackets.
