I've been waiting for one of these to show up locally.

1969 8 3/4 rear end with 3.23 gears (open).  Came out of a Coronet.

He's asking 400$.  I'd like to get lower but I don't know what a good price is.  I don't NEED it so I'll only buy one if the price is right.

Thanks.

Depends on what is attached.  That's what I see them go for if it's the complete rear end.  Sometimes they have the drums on them as well.  I don't see 3.23 very often, just saw one go (gears only) for $50 ish and I think that was a decent deal.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Dang! I wish I was closer. I'd grab that in a second. I'm in Austin though.

I had seen one out of a 68 B-body here in socal for like $100 drum to drum a while back...   $400 is a bit steep IMO - but depending on your area they might not pop up that often.  :shruggy:

You'd get lucky to get a complete drum to drum 8 3/4 rear end here for under $450! :brickwall:

I guess that's about the average price.  Since I'm in no rush I'll see if one pops up for around $200 in my area.  Wish I was closer to Pittsburgh.

My car had an 8 1/4 under it (didn't know that when I bought it) and my bro found an 8 3/4 from a Satellite drum-to-drum for $200.   Finding one locally will save on shipping too, axles aren't exactly light :)
