Chargers at the Toronto auction this past weekend

Did the collector car auction in Toronto this past weekend and so I thought I would share the Charger news.
There was a 68 Hemi Charger, a very nice car that needed some love to make it perfect but not much.  Some detailing really.  It bid to 69,000 and was worth all of that IMO but was unsold.
There was a 69 383 car that was also nice but I think it may have been shiny paint hiding a lot of under the surface warts.  It sold for 30,000 and I don't think I would call it a good buy.  Not terrible and I wouldn't say the buyer was ripped off by any means but he certainly paid all of the money.  I wouldn't be surprised that in a few years it begins to show its flaws.
There was a 70 383 car that sold for 17,250 and in my opinion the buyer stole the car.  It was a nice car and should have easily got a little more as it was easily as nice or nicer than the 69.
There was also a 71 RT that bid to 29,000.  It was missing a fender tag but it was a four speed car and well done and I was surprised it didn't bid a little higher.  The rumor was that it wouldn't have taken much more and it would have sold.
So there are some big block Chargers deals out there if you're lucky.

The owner of the 69 sat beside me b4 it went on the Block. Car was restored in 2002 for the owner of Penner Dodge in Steinback Manitoba. Build Sheet,#'s matching, Original White interior. Sold for $30,000 + $3000 buyer's fee + 13%HST (Provincial Tax if a local  buyer) $4290 for a total of $37290.00

That 70 does look nice for that money and you're right the 69, not so much.

One of these days I have to check out that auction. Things always come up that make it a no-go
