10" Vector Wheel BS?

I know there are guy in here with 10" Vectors in the rear of their General's so hopefully they can help.  I have a set of 8.5 Vectors in the rear now with 275/60's but have been considering getting a set of 15x10's for the back (if they fit) and moving my 8.5's to the front.

I have my General sitting low and I like it that way (not into the jacked up look).  So I am curious if those wheels will work.  Seems to me they'll only work if the backspacing is larger.  See the picture below, theres not much more room on the outside edge.

Anyone know the standard backspacing of a 15x10 Vector?  If you have pictures of that set-up, that would be appreciated.

Like I said, I don't want to change my stance

Just for my own curiousity, what size tire do you have up front?

235/60-15

I would look for 5" b.s. or 5.5" and use a shim..

I am running 15x10 and so is a friend of mine. Both ours are 3 and 3/4 back spacing. His car has small block rear springs and he had to use air shocks to keep from rubbing. My rear springs supposedly came from an R/T and mine don't rub with KYB shocks. We are both running 275 60 15. 8 1/2 in Vectors up front with 235 60 15. Every Vector I have ever found only had 3 and 3/4 back spacing.
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Do you HAVE any room inboard toward the spring? That looks to be the only direction that you can go. I think that the car looks great as it sits, but it is YOUR car. If you can't find 10" vectors with 5" backspace, you could have wheels cut and sectioned/widened but there aren't very many shops that do this.

Thanks, looks like I'll just keep it as is.  I know I need a 5" back space to sit this low.  I appreciate your help

I agree, I'll leave it as is.  Just thought a 10 would look better

Yeah all the Vectors have the same backspace. I thought it was 3.5, but it very well could be 3.75. All the 15" Vectors just got a deeper appearance with the larger wheels. I did talk to a company here locally about widening an 8.5(which can be done) But I had to supply the wheel both for widening and for hacking the extra width from, all for a mere $200 a wheel. With the cost of Vectors and the ever thin options for 15" tires, I opted against it.
