Yes she loves Chargers, she even drove my dad's '70 R/T and she owned a '70 Chevelle SS  :icon_smile_big:

I think that was probably thought of as a way to cover cracked and broken interior, but Grandma is definetly correct.

Tint the windows dark (Almost black so no one can see inside).....and it would be a nice Charger..............

I thought you were talking about the stripe until I saw the interior pics.....I do like those wheels though!

Until getting to the interior I thought it was the underhood paint job.

Some of that reminds me of the headliner and door panels in my 68 when I got it. But after I poked a hole in the headliner it made for a good spot to hang a drop light.

Love the rear valance and corners! I always wondered why people put traction bars on a Mopar........

Cooter

Wait, I thought "Retro" was in? It is out now? Dang, and I was just getting around to liking that crushed velvet, diamond tuck, jacked all up in the back, wide as slot mags, and traction bar look too...Damn.

Bah! I can beat that!

Here's a well-faded '74 AMX I bought back in 1995. The factory color is normally a darker, metallic hue... but still rather a pink which I actually liked.

The interior was a whole other ball of wax!  :o

No, it's not shag carpet. It's faux fur!!

I almost bought a '73 Roadrunner with an interior just like that!  :icon_smile_big:

I guess I should come clean as well:  On my first Charger, a '66 I took out the molded headliner and covered it in fake Zebra skin material........................At the time, I thought it looked pretty nice with the Charger's original White and Black interior.  So, if you should see a red '66 Charger  with a Zebra headliner.....it's my old car......   ;)

I knew a guy that had that fun fur all over the back half of his 66 Charger.  Not the headliner but just the sides and floor.  He kept the rear seats folded down and the dsivider panel down and nothing in the trunk so it was just a big furry hideaway from behind the front seats all the way to the taillights.  :o

Did you give it a flea and tick treatment before you took it home?  You just never know what kind of critters you will bring home when you mess around with a new toy ;)
