Is the "Charger" nameplate on the car (and I'm assuming there is one) the same style script and size as it is on the first 3 generations of the American ones?

They look identical when I have mine side by side, but I should measure just to be sure. Chrysler Oz raided the US parts bin for heaps of stuff!

Aussie R/T

Similar writing but the Aus ones seemed a bit wider.be interesting to know. They Aus ones would have been reproduced here though

No, they're different.
The Charger script on Oz Valiants is taller than the US script. That's for the VH, and VJ models.
Come the VK and CL Charger, the script gets all curly on ya. (Think I got all that right)

The VK and CL are like the disco Chargers of 75-77 then.

Laxy

Yep the later scripts look terrible!!

Good to see Chrysler Australia did actually bother to modify the original script to suit the VH-J instead of just dumping it on though. I wonder if it was an unintentional change based on local manufacturing processes?

Off www.ebay.com.au/ or search for Pentastar Parts and restorations in Oz. They have them fairly cheap.

I was going to get a set of those if I had no joy with getting a genuine set

Darkman, I wouldn't use the Aussie ones on your Dodge.
They're too tall and don't look as nice as the proper script. PPR also sells the US version.

Oh and Bryan.
You could also check Hemi Performance for the scripts. It was either them or PPR that I got them from.

I have already got the originals anyway. They were planned for the sail panel. Still not sure if they will go back on the car when finished.
