We will be travelling around So-Cal, Sept/Oct this year and would like to get to the Pomona swap meet, Oct 14th.

Needing advise from locals.
How long would it take me to drive from Santa Monica pier to Pomona, and when should I plan to get there?

Any other Ford/Mopar events during this time in So-Cal/Vegas etc?

Thanks
Gary

About an hour with light traffic. If you leave later than 2:30-3pm during the week you could double that with traffic.

Are they still opening the gates at like 5:00 am?

Also, not sure on the exact date yet, but my car club usually has the second of our two car shows in the middle of October. It is very likely that it will be that weekend, and if so, it would be the day before (Oct 13th).

I think they are, but I haven't been there in a couple years. The swap meet had a lot of stuff for hot-rodders/rat-rodders.
If you're looking for Mopars and parts the Spring/Fall fling (Ponch's club) are way better.
