exact build date

hey guys im ordering all new wiring and a couple of the harnesses change depending on if the car was built before of after nov 18 1969.

theres a bo8 on the fendertag which indicates a nov build time but i dont know what indicates the day.

the order # on the tag is 087613

the actual vin is xs29l9g163421

i have the whole tag if its needed to figure this out thatnk guys

Rarely are there exact dates for anything as previous inventory had to be used up, parts supply, etc.

The Scheduled Production Date (SPD) is just that...it was the day it was scheduled not the day it was actually built.
B08 tells us the car was scheduled to be built before 11/18. It's probable it was built before 11/18 but the possibility exists it wasn't.
The VIN and VON (order number) are administrative functions, not a function of building the car so that doesn't tell us actual construction date. Cars did not roll down the line in seqential order.
Why was there a change on or about 11/18? What was different? Compare the pre 11/18 wiring to yours. Does your car meet those changes or does it conform more to the requirements before 11/18?

Going by your VIN you have a '69 Charger....your SPD would put your date at 11/8/1968.....well before the 11/18/69 cut off that the harness mfgr specifies

thank you sir! from what i could see in the pictures of the harnesses it looked to be like i had the old style ones. i went ahead and ordered new wiring for the entire car......ouch. atleast now everything will be as it should be. the previous owner hacked up my dash harness real bad. my engine harness and bulkhead were really rough aswell. i figured might as well replace it all. if the car burnt to the ground cuse of a 44 yo wire i would go insane.
