67 charger steering question

I just put the stering column back in my 67 charger,,,,there is alot of play in the steering,,,,any idea what might cause that ?

Just to clarify, was the steering column in up until recently and everything was tight at that time?

the column was out of the car when i got it

Could be that your front end components are just worn out.  Have you checked them all?

check yer coupler at the steering box...did you put the coupler "shoes" in wrong?
