'71-'74 Charger Outer Wheelhouse Question

Hi-wondering if anyone over here knows if there is a difference in the outer wheelhouses between '71-72 and '73-74? I was getting a quote on them in anticipation of tearing into my '74. AMD states they need to be modified to fit '73-74, but when questioned, they admit they don't really know as they've never seen a '73-74 piece to compare? Some say they should be the same, some have said there is no chance of them working, and I have no clue one way or the other.  So has anyone tried them for a newer car, or am I the guinea pig? I know the lips are rusted on mine, but not sure about the rest of their condition yet.
