So if my math is correct he was doing 30.1 in an 18.6 mph zone. How much do you wanna bet he also does 50 in a 100?

I was going to say.....if that officer wrote him a ticket, he should be ashamed of himself!  He just wrote him a warning.

No, he probably still does 30.1 mph.

KPH. Same thing. I think 100 (60.2) is a common speed limit up there. Actually last time I had to drive up there I remember having to go pretty slow on the highway (50 something MPH). I was miserable!

Oh, your quote had mph. :shruggy: I did think was odd that you were using decimals though.

It took 100 years for one Saanich man to tarnish his perfect driving record.

The centenarian was stopped for speeding in a school zone Tuesday, a shock to a Saanich traffic officer when she saw the 1911 birthdate on a driver's licence, which was good for another five years.

The traffic officer pulled over the 100-year-old driver in a Buick Century when he was spotted going 50 kilometres an hour in a school zone, where the limit is 30 km/h.

The man had a flawless driving record, so the traffic officer gave him a warning ticket.

"I was shocked, not only at the 100 years of age, but the brand new five-year renewal driver licence," said Const. Janice Carmena.

I will say there he would have had to get a full medical testing and redo his drivers test to get his license renewed at that age  :icon_smile_big:
