Yea that is a sweet car.  I need to subscribe so I get auto-messages for sure.  Last time I had checked that car was 18k which was too high for me.

Seller is going to post some more pictures over the weekend so I will have to see what those look like.

Car is down to 15k now. Have you talked to him on the phone? Long distance is hard because you can only move as fast as the seller. You best bet is to find out where the car is and maybe you can get a member in that area to go check it out for you before the weekend?

I have not talked to him on the phone.  I will if the pictures posted this weekend look good.

It would be a 12 hour drive for me which would make it a 2 day event to trailer it back.  But who am I kidding, I would go 24 hrs one way for the right car at the right price

Back on CL again...

Interesting because we all thought it sold.  I never did receive any of the pictures I requested or a call back.  Figured she was long gone.  Still on the fence with the sunroof and spoiler and 7 hr drive to take a look at it.

whaat....I figure based on the responses you talked about it was sold...didnt he claim that tons of calls came in and everyone is interested in it. something must be really wrong..

Exactly my thoughts.  In the convo I had he repeatedly said he couldn't put the phone down there was so much interest.  He also said there were people driving to see it cash in hand at the time of my call.  The "custom" interior might be throwing everybody off from the description it sounded a little wierd.  You can sort of see the large white dash pad in the window that was custom.

It needs a little too much work for my taste.  With the custom sunroof and spoiler I am guessing there may be some custom 1/4's on it as well

As I keep scouring CL for a 68 or 69 I am thinking it would be best to move from the 10-15k car to the 15-20k car range.  Maybe find someone asking 23k and offer 20k cash take it or leave it.  I am looking for a 440 that I can drive the wheels off... would love a manual but I think that's a pipe dream.
