depends on how bad the wrinkles are...blow dryer or heat gun on low heat would be best...I say no-no to the iron idea

Usually the wrinkles will go away within a few weeks after it's installed.....sometimes just the heat in the car will take care of them

i always iron the back a few times  , before fitting  ,  then hair dryer & heat /streach  as i go

Tried the hair dryer and that was about useless, then I did what you did and the wrinkles are 95% gone. Thanks

Another trick that works for headliners already in the car is to heat the area with a blow dryer or heat gun, then wipe with a cold damp rag or washcloth. The cold cloth causes the material to shrink & tighten up.
This also works well to remove depressions in padded items such as dash pads, upper door pads, etc.

Steam my friends. I watched a pro put mine in and he used a steamer. Looks better than factory.
