id post this in the classifieds, but the listing isn't mine, and this forum is closer to its target audience. should a moderator feel obligated to move it, i'd prefer that it be deleted.

should someone be looking for one of these, this would be a great buy at the starting bid. perhaps that amount will hold up in the end. this digital set retailed for around $250 when it came out. the high shipping cost is a bummer, at the buy it now price.

For the record, the key to whether a thread gets moved or not usually hinges on a question you've answered with the following phrase:

There is indeed a section in the forum for general eBay listings that might be of interest to DC.com members, but Troy has not protested too much so far when Aero-related items such as this are left in the Aero forum.  The key is, we are trying not to make this too much of an advertisement tool for those trying to hawk their wares - which is why I tend to move blatant for sale threads into the proper section.  You're fine.

Danny, your set is the original issue with the Evolution series cars.    The one shown above is a newer Digital car set.      Digital cars can run on the older track.   The older cars dont run on the Digital set.    They can be updated though.   The Digital sets allow lane changes, multiple cars in the same lane, etc.

i thought the seller's ebay name looked familiar, probably from a past ebay transaction i had with him. for some odd reason, i kept thinking the guy had a real superbird. well, curiousity finally got the best of me today, so i started digging through my past ebay feedback. sure enough, in january 2006, the guy bought my old superbird slot machine. this is the feedback comment he left for me back then....

"Great Item, Looks AWESOME Displayed Between My 3 Hemi Superbirds!"

i would think someone with that kind of hardware would be well known in the aero car world?

Well he is from New lennox IL.  that is off I -80 about 45 minutes south of Chicago and about 45 minutes before you get to the Indiana border.
