Wow thats worse than the one I looked at yesterday. The biggest difference is the one I looked at hasn't hit the ground yet and the interior is a lot nicer. What do you guys think this R?T is worth?
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Atleast the seller outright says its junk, not like the HLPAG gang that would have said a little rust easy fix.

Its worth whatever parts are salvagable. I didn't see anything, soooo $500-$1000 as a trophy lawn ornament for most rusted out 2nd generation ?

They list the VIN as XXXXXXXX but the broadcast sheet looks to me like it's XS29L98273348.  Not 100% on that though.  (in case it turns up beautifully "restored" one day)

I got 273346...

What do you suppose the original color of the tape stripe was?  Black/white/red ?

XS29L93273346 is what I see....

I believe it should be XS29L9B..

Yes, you are absolutely right it should be a "B".  Man I really screwed that up and shouldn't have. :icon_smile_blackeye:

I would probably be dumb enough to try and save it. I think they're asking a bit much though.

6pkrunner

Years ago one magazine restored a 1969 Shelby GT500KR convertible from at that time I thought was impossible. This Charger would be on the same level. What would be saved but for a few bolt ones and possible the core parts for the engine?

These people are still living in 2006 or so. Time to wake up and smell the recession.

charger_fan_4ever

I have never seen a door hinge pillar so rotten. The hinge and all ripped out and it l ooks like 1/2 way down its broke in half. The front tires so high in the fenderwells the torsionbar member must have let go, no rear frame rails.

This car would need $15K in AMD metal.

He lowered to $4800 BIN.

I assume the motor is nothing more than a core. I'd pay no more than $2000 for the car.

I like the seller though not trying to hide anything. in bold "in case you didn't notice the cars needs everything"

well what can you guys, but 'ITS A CHARGER'  ::)

Can't believe no one here wants to take on this "small" challenge.  A little bit of crazy glue, a few rolls of duck tape, a bit of bondo and a few cans of spray paint...and you would have yourself a .......Ok, a rust bucket with a lot of glue, tape and bondo...................

This thing is way too far gone to even think about saving, now if it were a HEMI car or a Daytona/500 you might be able to convince yourself that the spending of money and time on it would be worth it.......But it's not, so it wouldn't be.  (Just my two cents....about what it's worth except as a parts car)

:'( :rotz:  another crusty, ok doomed RTSE, That recent Red thread RTSE w/ lugage rack very rusty discussion to save appears similar to me, way gone past common sense to save (to me), it would be interesting to see what happens.  F3 is not that bad when done (better then F5 &F8 to me).
