i'm wanting to switch from standard gauges to rallye gauges (no tach) in my 74 charger and was wondering if i can use the factory wiring harness or do i need a new one to comply with plug-ins for alt/fuel/oil/etc.???

What car?  Pretty sure the connectors are there but you will need to change the sending units.

Your existing ones will be for warning lights, if you are switching to guages you'll need a different temp sender and oil pressure sender up at the engine.

When I converted my 72 to a Rallye dash I found that the standard cluster had a circuit board with a round pin connector that the gauge wiring harness plugged into. I just cut the wiring harness at the plug and wired it directly to the gaugesand lights. I don't remember changing the water temp sender. Did change the oil pressure sending unit.

it can be done, BUT definitelly easier getting the propper harness ( including specific YEAR, specially being 74 )

of course oil sender needs to be changed
