I haven't been on the site for awhile, thought I would drop in let you know what happened....

Been together for 27 years, married for 22. Back in Oct. I found out that my wife was having a affair with her boss. Three days after I found out ,she moved in with him. Left me and the kids (21 and 18) to pick up the pieces. I filed for divorce and everything is pretty well settled. She got some things out of the house, all the 410K and this years taxes. I got the house ,my cars and my pension. I really wouldn't wish this on anybody, just glad its about over. Final court date is march 19th.

I'm ready to get back working on my car again and moving my life forward! Thinking about taking the kids out to Vegas in April for the Mopars at the Strip.
Hopefully see some of you there!

What's always good for a laugh is to send a phony letter from a fictitious medical office addressed to her new friend with positive test results for STD's.

Might keep her wondering for a while.  :D

I am sorry to hear this.  Been through a couple myself, the first ended just like yours.

With time it will get easier and there will be someone else who comes along who appreciates you and the Charger.  Of course making sure the kids get through this is the first priority.

My first marriage lasted 2 years. I walked away with nothing. Turns out the divorce was a blessing in disguise, met the love of my life and just celebrated 38 years.  ;D
I wish you well.

Wow Fred, 38 years? With the same one?? I've been married 3 times...  8 years being the longest and 13 days being the shortest.     I can laugh now.  :yesnod:

It's funny sometimes how friends can see things you don't. My second marriage was a disaster from the "I do's" and my friends tried to tell me it would be that way. 13 days later I come home from work to a note on the table that said she had gone to Kentucky with her ex husband which was bad enough, but the bitch took my friggin truck which was worse!  :RantExplode:  I did get it back though.

Sorry to hear.  Sounds like it's turned out for the better.  Don't know if you can call it this, but y'all were lucky the kids were on the older side.

My Father had a zipper problem so he & Mom didn't last until about my freshmen year.  Thing was I had a younger brother & sister.  They're the ones that suffer the most.  Neither one has turned out worth a shit.
I learned at an early age that if there was something I wanted, no problem, I was responsible for payment.
Everything meant graduation invitations, lunch tickets, etc., everything.

Yep, After a while you will become independent in your way and the next one will have to accept you that way or move on. Thats how it was for me anyway. I found that life is too short to live it for someone else.
