I haven't been on the site for awhile, thought I would drop in let you know what happened....

Been together for 27 years, married for 22. Back in Oct. I found out that my wife was having a affair with her boss. Three days after I found out ,she moved in with him. Left me and the kids (21 and 18) to pick up the pieces. I filed for divorce and everything is pretty well settled. She got some things out of the house, all the 410K and this years taxes. I got the house ,my cars and my pension. I really wouldn't wish this on anybody, just glad its about over. Final court date is march 19th.

I'm ready to get back working on my car again and moving my life forward! Thinking about taking the kids out to Vegas in April for the Mopars at the Strip.
Hopefully see some of you there!

I am sorry to hear this.  Been through a couple myself, the first ended just like yours.

With time it will get easier and there will be someone else who comes along who appreciates you and the Charger.  Of course making sure the kids get through this is the first priority.

It's funny sometimes how friends can see things you don't. My second marriage was a disaster from the "I do's" and my friends tried to tell me it would be that way. 13 days later I come home from work to a note on the table that said she had gone to Kentucky with her ex husband which was bad enough, but the bitch took my friggin truck which was worse!  :RantExplode:  I did get it back though.

Sorry to hear.  Sounds like it's turned out for the better.  Don't know if you can call it this, but y'all were lucky the kids were on the older side.

My Father had a zipper problem so he & Mom didn't last until about my freshmen year.  Thing was I had a younger brother & sister.  They're the ones that suffer the most.  Neither one has turned out worth a shit.
I learned at an early age that if there was something I wanted, no problem, I was responsible for payment.
Everything meant graduation invitations, lunch tickets, etc., everything.

Yep, After a while you will become independent in your way and the next one will have to accept you that way or move on. Thats how it was for me anyway. I found that life is too short to live it for someone else.

You're going to Vegas eh.............might as well take the kids.  You don't need to goto vegas to get into trouble.

I don't have the experience to tell you my own story.  I'm still married but I thought of a part in the movie "Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man" that I'm trying to find for you...........no luck yet but this one is nice.

Anyhow the clip I was thinking about one of the guys tells the other the only two cures to get over a woman is to drink her out of your system, hookers, maybe fighting too.    Anyhow that's just the movies and it sounds like you are somewhat at peace.

Dang, and here I thought my boy's sh*t was bad..Just when you think your really screwed, I guess there's always someone else that has taken one a little longer, wider, and deeper than you. Sorry, and hope it all works out for the best..May she catch a disease that causes uncontrollable, and painful urination. :icon_smile_tongue:

I'm just reposting so I can compare the timelines and see how much time I was wasting looking for that clip for some reason I thought would offer some help!  I'm going to ask this question, do you still love her?  Or care about her?   Just thought it should be mentioned before anyhone else trying to offer support insults her in an attempt to cheer you up.

cavemanno1

Never wish anyone bad things because it will bite you in the ass 3 times!Well at least that is what i believe in!
It's bad when things like that happen but also life is too sort to be unhappy!I know it's a painful because you fell betrayed but if you still love her wish her happines but don't ever talk to her no matter what and try to move on!People turn into animals when they get divorced and fight over pity things and all they do is embarrass themself!

I have seen it and couldn't believe what i saw!Two people who loved each other once now they act like animals!
Appreciate what you have, mostly your kids and cars, and live your life!Sooner or later someone special comes alone who appreciate you! :Twocents:

Since I have to much time on my hands I usually catch  (Dr. Phill ) regularly  and one phrase he uses a lot on situations like yours in  "if they will do it with you they will do it to you" and I will bet when the novelty wears off and the hormones subside  they both will go (OOOO Pooooo now what do we do). On different situations I have seen Karma do some serious equalizing. Best wishes man.

Hahaha.  Sure why not.  I agree with Highbankhauler, I've seen some "equalizing", and it's just wild.

No good man.Like you said you have what matters.

I worked with mister Im short and have small mans syndrome for four years. He never stopped talking about himself, his barmaid wife was found fixing her hair when she got home from so called work thing was he was watching her under the house.Questions were asked and within weeks she was off with a customer.Roll on and even after his marriage failed he went out of his way to bust up my partner and I and she was Post natally depressed .You see my son was only 4 years old and his mum could not snap herself out of the stupper she was in ever since the delivery.Prescibbed drugs made it worse because she was taking them when she should be asleep and asleep when she should be taking the drugs.Cut along story short I got the house the car and the kid,he is 19 years of age now and has always been with his dad,and I would't have it any other way.As for captain little man, last I heard he was battling prostate cancer.you see you can run and you can hide little man but karma will find you.

So stay strong and good things will come your way.cheers
