What would be the correct paint around the door handles for my -68? In the picture below it's silver, is this right?

Over time, the plating often dulls to the point that it looks like silver paint, but the doctor is right they should be plated.

The correct term is vacuum plating if you're trying to Google it. And it's pretty much a wash, price wise, between getting new ones and replating the old ones. But usually the old ones have busted tabs and whatnot so it's probably best to just get new ones.
