73 gearbox on my 68 Charger

Can someone please help me.Im at a stand still.I have a 73 steering gear box on a 68 Charger so I had to use the 73 bigger splined pitman arm.I used the correct for 68 idler.When I put evrything together the center link doesn't seem to be quite straight across.Not off bad but enough to notice if you really look at it.Will this still work or do I need to use a 73 idler?Thanks to anyone who can answer this.
