Good evening. The charger I bought finally made it here today. 1974 SE Brougham. Tried decoding the fender tag and came up with the following. Anyone know what the unknowns mean? I'd be thankful for any insight.

WP29:
Dodge Coronet,Charger
Premium
2 Door Sports Hardtop

G4A: 318 150HP(net) or 170HP(net) 1-2BBL 8 CYL

E44:            318 cid 2 barrel V8 230hp
D34:    Light Duty Automatic Transmission
EW1:    Eggshell White Exterior Color
H6XW:    Trim - High, Vinyl Bucket Seats, Black/White
000:     Full Door Panels
214:            Build Date: February 14
190920:   Order number

V1W:    Full Vinyl Top, White
U:            USA Specifications
V7X:            Accent Stripes, Black
H51:    Air Conditioning with Heater

G11:    Tinted Glass (all)
G54:    Outside LH Remote Chrome Racing Mirror

I was able to find out what the top 2 sets of numbers mean. They are the Lynch Road Gate Series and Line Sequence Numbers. 04118 = Car went through gate series 04 and was the 118th car through that gate series that day. Don't really mean much I guess. Not very exciting anyway. 19140 is the the line sequence number, which is lower than the sequence build number on the VIN. Still no idea on what the "2", "518" or "182843" mean.

I also found an additional tag close by that has two lines of numbers, zero through nine, with the number three punched out on both lines. Anyone able to help identify what that tag means?

DRE - 73' Charger 360 SE

Thats a great idea. New to the forum, first charger ever and certainly no idea what I'm doing lol. Live in Des Moines IA. Car arrived from KY Thursday morning. I was told the engine and trans are #'s matching. No idea yet if that is true. My goal is to have a decent looking, mechanically sound car I can take out for fun drives. Not show quality or expensively re$tored. Carb will need rebuilt, body work finished, paint, new carpet, headliner, seats cleaned/repaired or replaced. Car was originally white, with a white vinyl top and white seats. Vinyl top is gone. Somewhere along the line the car was painted blue. Back vinyl seats are in great shape, as if rarely sat on. No rips, tears, etc. They are moldy however. Front bucket seats vinyl are shredded and moldy. Center console is ESPECIALLY moldy. Not sure if I can get the mold cleaned off. Don't know who painted the engine blue and red or what they were thinking. Not sure what my options are there. Not a fan of the opera windows so If I can remove them permanently I will. God, I would love any advice or comments or helped along to the right path. Seems like there are lots of original parts. Found the build sheet but getting that out will be hard. Appears to be ripped into many pieces. Here are some pics.  :cheers:

I'm not seeing this '2' you refer to. Maybe it's just late...

518 = engine assembly code = 74 B or E body 318-2bbl, automatic transmission with A/C
182 = rear axle assembly code
843 = transmission assembly code = 74 automatic; early for a 318 A,B or E body

The other tag is a typical inspection tag
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Thank you 69coronetRT. The "2" is right below the screw on the left side of the tag. 4th character up from the bottom left. Right above the "V"

A little offside but as to your console, mold is tough to kill.  A product I have used successfully on the vinyl covering on some old guitar amps has been "MoldX".  Not cheap and its best if you use the three steps together but it works.  Bleach wont kill it.  Another thing that you might want to try is to let the console sit out in the sun on a warm dry day and then scrub it.
If that doesn't work you will have to replace it.

If you decide/figure out how to get rid of the opera windows I'll take your inside louvers if they are in good shape  :yesnod:...

Looks like some moron painted your engine ferd blue, you can remove to exhaust manifolds then have them blasted and either leave bare or repaint.  I would just get a new/rebuilt brake booster to replace that butt ugly red painted one.  I will be doing the same on my 73 since the moron kid that had it before me decided it would look good gray, I'll just replace it so I know it's good.

Ah!  If you look closely, it's followed by a 8 indicating a 28 inch radiator.

Thank you for the advice. I'll keep you in mind on the indside louvers. I haven't really had any time to do much with the car.

I'll be damned. Didn't see that. Thank you for the help too. Nice to see what these codes mean.
