Is that a drag bike I see through the window?

If those are original seats have you pulled up the rear bench to check for the cars broadcast sheet?

Those nice old faded seats would not bother me one bit, clearly a showing a well taken care of nice original car, nothing wrong with that in my book (I would not dye them personally)......... :popcrn:

The gentleman that i bought from was the owner since 1971 when he bought it from his friend. He did a decent job of not letting it rot away. He almost cried when he let it go.  He had it painted 10 years ago with the correct paint code. He did not paint the engine bay as the original engine was never taken out.

Any way, I may leave the seats as is and just replace the carpet. I am the 3rd owner and probably last.... My son and daughter want to keep it in the family from here on.  The car has been in illinois all of its life.  This Saturday will take for a ride and get a few more pics.

I guess i should say  The button mounts are still there. The leather or vinyl covers fell off.
Yes the previous owner had the same issue and he had them re done.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

OK...more pics with more questions.

How can u tell if this 43-year-old trunk was a basket case or not?
I believe deep in the trunk is original paint but on the trunk floor and the sides are 10-year-old respray.

If you like, I will post a 4-minute "Maiden Voyage" test ride since the the topend was put together. Not sure how to compare to stock engine since I have no idea what a stock would do.
