@ CudaKen No worries.. MY dad bought a 68 RT off the show room floor.. He still gets on to me that I should have had this car done to original specs..That is what I love about this community. Everyone of us have our own dreams and we all have a story to tell.... @ 440 Fanatic.. Thanks

It's been a while since I have updated the progress of the car. Right now I am just buying the last of the parts to finish the final mock up. The family decided that we need a final part to make our family complete so here is our new edition. Her name is Reese

Life just has a way of kicking you in the gut. The project was put on hold over a year ago because I tore a tendon and ligament in my left elbow. It was going to require surgery and I was going to be out of work for 16 weeks. Gotta pay the bills before the toy gets attention. Fast forward to Sept 2015 and work began again on the car. I finished buying parts and final mock up was complete. This February very unexpected I lost my dad to a heart attack. I have gone thru a wide range of emotions these past 4 months. At one point I was just ready to quit and give up on the project and fire sale it. I just had no drive in me to finish what Me and my dad had started 4 years ago. I guess its something that you never get over.. you just get thru it. I know my father would want me to finish the Charger so..I just keep pushing. Happy to report that the Charger is at body and paint. The project has changed course since its inception and the outcome will be different. Not to be a downer..But damn I miss my pops....

So very sorry for your Dad passing....I lost mine 28 years ago and still miss him.  :rotz:

Stevearino

Sorry for your loss man. I lost my dad about a year into my build and there have been many a time when I wished I could tell him what's going on. No matter how old you get you are still his son and you want to make him . Happy to see you are pulling through.

Sorry to hear about your Dad.   I can't imagine what that feels like.   :pity:    I hope that as time goes on and the project gets to completion it will bring back pleasant memories as you drive it.   I'm sure your Dad would be proud of you for pushing through and finishing the car.    :yesnod:

How much cutting did you have to do?  I am planning on doing this on my '70 and it seemed like the rear bumpers would need like 1/2" taken out of each side and the bumper brackets would need shortening in the rear and channeling in the front?  What did it take with yours?

@ Tsmithae...Sorry Buddy I am not sure. I am having the car professionally done and not doing the work myself. I know that there was modifications made but not sure as to what. Next time I go up to my builder and ask and relay info to you.
