Another Headliner question

I got the headliner on the bows and have them turned up and was in the process of setting the liner on the teeth when I suddenly realized that the row of teeth half way down the sail panel were at a different angle then the teeth around the rear window.
So do you have to glue the headliner to the teeth of the second row or is there a trick to getting them to stay in place?

Also, How do you keep the sides tight?
