Is this the one I should run on my 70 RR? Fitment issues? I do have headers (not sure the make of them tho..3' collector)

I Looked at the TTi X-pipe but it's $100 more.

Plan is to run an xpipe off the headers into ultra flo mufflers with turn downs. I don't have a drive shaft loop to worry about...tho I prolly need one running drag radials.  :scratchchin:

I used the Pypes header back exhaust kit on my Dart. First of all, from what I've read there are 2 grades of stainless steel and I'm sure they use the cheaper grade. Second, the 2 pipes after the X were too close together so I had to use a floor jack in between the 2 to spread them apart. For what you need, they'd work fine, but if you can find cheaper, I'm sure the quality couldn't be any less.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

I purchased their 2.5" header back SS kit. It sucked and I returned it.

It appears the B-body X-pipe is the same as the one they use on E-bodies. To get the length required, you end up with the front spacing way too wide. It would have taken a lot of modification to get the kit to fit to my satisfaction. That additional cost is better spent on a much better fitting TTi kit. There were other concerns/issues as well.

Also consider 3" pipes...totally worth the effort. Go on You Tube and listen to the difference versse 2.5 pipes.

I did 3" from the 3.5" Collector, to an X, to dumps right in front of the rear axle. Two dynomax muffs between it all. The sound is devastating!!   :drool5:

Thanks for the responses...I'm def gonna go with 3 inch TTi Xpipe with ultra-flos.

I just finished installation of 3.000 inches X pipe on the Charger 67... :icon_smile_big:
It's really a perfect fit.
You know why...
It's TTI

Do u have TTi headers? I'm wondering how well it will work with other headers.

Looks like he's running manifolds or shorties.

The TTi pipe should adjust to just about any header, but ground clearance might be impacted. They offer some collector adapter options.

I've got crappy flowmasters with turn downs now...WAAAAYYYY too loud and sounds like crap.  :rotz:

I'm really considering just going all the way to the bumper this time and hoping that helps with cabin noise and exhaust smell.  :shruggy:

I have to agree with you on this. After much debate, I sucked it up and bought a set of thermal coated TTI headers. Not cheap at all...double the price of some stuff out there....however they did fit perfect. I didn't have to hardly move anything to get them installed.
