Need some help and advice on a new pitman arm for my 70 Charger.Been looking and researching and seem alot of people are getting arms that dont fit.Looked up the part# 20101 at Autozone and says this part doesnt work for my car.Just want to get the right one.Thanks.

Pitman arms are inexplicably hard to find. The only place I could find one for less than $100 was a Moog on Ebay from seller 2doorpost: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-MOOG-pitman-arm-70-72-E-body-62-70-B-made-USA-/200578921534?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb36f743e

I got mine for $85 back in January though.

Other than that some of the performance places like Firm Feel sell them.

$165.Thats awful high plus your pitman arm.If they want your core they must be a ball joint replacement for the pitman arms also. They also want $450 for a powersteering GB plus a core, are you serious.I can get one from my local parts store for $135 with a lifetime warranty.

I got lucky and a greatful member on here sold me mine for 80.00 - chatt69....great guy  :yesnod: It was from rare parts and Im sure they don't make them anymore...neither does moog...go figure?

If you're referring to the Firm Feel box it's not a Tiajuana-rebuilt sloppy copy of the factory setup (or worse), which is what you'll most likely get from the parts store. You're getting a tighter/better box and you can choose the level of performance you want out of it. Yes, it is expensive but those who've gotten them do not regret it.

I dont doubt that they arent good boxes but when a place wants $110 for the same offset bushings you can get for $70 at the local parts store I wont buy nothing from them regardless how good it is.I know these places have to make money but Im not much on getting gouged either.Im getting a cardone refurbed right here in the USA.Ive bought their stuff in the past with good luck so and I can use the extra $300 that I would be saving.

Just to clarify, the price is not "plus the core" - the price assumes you do not have a core.  If you have a core, knock off the core deposit (e.g., 165-50=115 for arm, 450-175= 275 for the manual box, etc.).  Yeah, you can get the gearbox cheaper at the local store, but if you want your original then your options are limited.

I have a 68 Charger with a 73 power steering box.I had to use the 73 bigger pitman arm but kept the correct for 68 idler. The center link doesnt seem exactly straight across.Do I need to use a 73 idler also? Thanks all.
