Learned something the hard way about the dash today but now I have a question

FYI, for those who don't know you need to put the dash frame in first before you install the steering column. :brickwall: So now I'm going to have to repaint the steering column. :rotz:

Anyway I pulled the column out, installed the dash frame, tightened all the bolts and then I notice this business. It looks to me like the dash frame is supposed to go on the outside of the door seam as pictured below but I thought I'd better make sure considering my recent fortune.

You are correct, Bull. Dash frame goes on the outside of the hinge pillar pinchweld as in that picture.
