Just saw this on another mopar site. I usually don't criticize anybody's choice in customizing their car, I figure we all have our own taste. However.... the roof and sunvisor on this Charger... really?  :o :shruggy:

Notice how the ad says...............won't last long.  I think he's right, it won't. It's just about rusted away.

I saw that as well. My first thought was......Scrap it!
THEN I remembered that AMD was supposed to be offering roof skins for our cars. I don't recall if that included any of the inner frame structure, but regardless... THAT car is still worth saving, GREEN or not! A 69 R/T ? Are you kidding? The price is a little steep, but as always, it may be flexible. I'd sure like to read that a member here buys it. At least its days as a neighborhood joke would probably be over.

Wow, those Ts are tiny... Corvette, maybe? I love T-tops. If I had the cash, my car would be wearing a pair of them.

I had a pair of T-tops on my 1975 Chevy Pickup.  They were made by American T-tops for a short time back in the mid 1970's.  Never very popular, and in fact I have never seen another Chevy with them.  I removed them when I junked the thing due to famous Chevy rust.  Perhaps I should mount them on my Charger.....then again maybe I'll just sell them and move out of the 80s....................

They look like Hurst Hatch T tops to me. Check out 1976-mid 78 Pontiac F bodies.

Yup, GM used them on many models. Hurst made them for all sorts of cars aftermarket as well.

I bet that things leaks like a sieve.

Can someone get some photos from the seller of the interior of the roof please? I like to see how it looks. Have not ever seen a charger with T-top's and would love to see how the interior roof looks just for the heck of it.

magnum

Looks like it had a DMCL side stripe at one time :scratchchin:. Might look a little better without the visor. :rotz:
Takes a MOPAR to catch a mopar!

I like the idea of this as I have had two t top cars (GMs); really would like to own another.

It is hard to tell what this really looks like because the car in the picture is so bad.

In the late 70s and 80s you could get a t top installed in just about anything. The installers could buy a kit with everything they needed.

In the late 70s there was a 3rd gen Charger running around the Seattle area with t tops, I remember thinking it looked pretty good.

BTW, no mullet here...hair is too thin.....

wow that car 10 years ago was 20 minutes from me. Guy wanted $700 for it and i just could not make myself buy it because of the ttops. lol.  ialways wondered where that car ended up. now i know. by the way some of you were correct it was the smaller 77-81 camaro/trans am ttops on it. the car sure hasn't chaged much.

That '69 looks like it has '70 side markers. Looks like the chrome bezel and more sunken in lens that the '70s had...

I've had 3 different T-roof G bodies. Never a single drop from any of them. Not even when pointing the power washer directly at the seams. There's still one left sitting in my driveway. It's still not leaking after 22 years of outdoor storage.
