440 six pack pistons?

found a brand new never opened set of 8, six pack pistons.. wondering if they would be a good idea for my 440.. mild cam, stock rods, stock crank, ported/polished heads, etc..

the 6 pack pistons are good for compression but what over size are they , depending on the condition of the block you may need .030 oversize or bigger . the only problem with the 6 pack piston is they can be heavy

The 6-pack slugs are excellent ! They will give you a nice boost in compression  No problem running them with stock rods....just keep the rpm's at 6000 and you'll be fine.

thanks guyshe was asking 300 ill see if he will take 250 then post pics!  are there any downsides to running the six pack pistons? im goinging stock/ mild rebuild until i get some $ in the future

I have the trw six pack slugs in my 440. With stock 452 heads , mopar .509 hyd. cam,  10" converter and 4.56 gears it runs 12.70's at 106mph all day long on any gas in my '68 charger at 3900lbs. I shift at 6100-6200 rpm no problems so far, stock rods too.  Sounds like you found a good deal.

Try and find out if the pistons are stock bore or oversize before purchasing. Are they factory pistons or aftermarket forged ?
