Is there a way to disassemble the steering wheel hub?

In other words, can the metal hub pieces be taken off the plastic wheel for cleaning/repairs?

Nevermind... figured it out. The contact plate comes off but the rest of the metal is molded in place. Thankfully all I needed to remove was the contact plate (so I could attach a new wire).
