How often do you drive your Charger?

I was just wondering how often you all drive your Chargers, and if you mainly drive them for a sunday cruise, or to work, etc.
I ask because i sometimes feel i should be driving mine more - but living in L.A., with traffic and crappy parking, sometimes taking my other little beater car seems like a more viable option.  :shruggy:
New to the muscle car/mopar addiction so bare with the "dumb" things I'm likely to ask all of you. Just trying to learn and gotta start somewhere! Cheers!

Never less than 1 time a week. Later this year back to daily driver...working on body repairs.  :2thumbs:

I drive it about once every two weeks. Usually busy on the weekends and kind of forget to drive it. Right now it's down for 7 weeks getting a new dimmer switch, headlight switch, and waiting for the original Carter 4401 to get back from Jeff at Old Carb Doc in North Carolina.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

its been with me for 14 years. i drove it twice after i got it and pulled the motor and started working on it. when i put the new motor in it i drove it twice in the neighborhood and pulled the motor finding the timing chain was the problem. last year the car only left the garage being pushed. it now is running and will cruise this year. finally. so ask me again next year and my answer will be better. :2thumbs:

and with the economy right now, i dont think i will find a buyer for my RT. It is really hard to find a buyer of a 36 000$ car right now in this economy.
So i am not in ruch with that.

i find a buyer good, i don t find a buyer it is also good.

I take mine out about 2 or 3 times a week and average about 5000 miles a year.  The weather's pretty good all year round here.
She's not the daily driver, just the fun car. She makes me happy. ( I think I'll keep her!) :icon_smile_big:

I admit gas prices going up will have me using it less, but just a little less.  I only use it for short drives and errands anyway.  But I do  a lot of those.

A couple of times a week on average.
I would drive it a lot more with the kids and wife if it wasn't such a pain to swap the kids car seats out of the wifes car and into the Charger!

dodgey68

NOT ENOUGH :shruggy:, i need a ute for work, the charger is not a good ute :D

I alternate between my truck and the charger during the week. Drive it on weekend unless I need to haul something (other than ass). One thing thats been bugging me latley it my choke gets stuck on high idle somtimes, I never think about it when I'm working on her. It sucks having to pull over on the way to work in the cold to pull the air cleaner off and un-stick the choke so my idle will drop down. Other than that I love it.

charger01

Lemme see, I got it road worthy late last fall and only test drove it a couple of miles.  So it's been sitting in the garage all winter waiting for spring.  Now I find I have to have hernia and ankle surgery within the next couple of months.  Gonna kill my drive time. :icon_smile_angry:

Marck

Too little..
I got it registered last September, and had it out maybe 5 times before the season ended..
I really look forward to this upcomming season, it will definately see more roadtime this summer..  :2thumbs:

chargermike

i drive it when i can. need my truck for work. thw weather will be nice this weekend so gonna take her out for a drive and wash it up all pretty. but with dual quads it only gets about 6 miles per gallon. 50 bucks to drive her for an afternoon. money well spent. maybe 2000 miles a year

road/track

All the time on the weekends usulay, not commuting with it, and also have to split the time with the convertible
On the other hand, it will not be many miles on the Charger at all right now, as it stripped down to become a pro-tourer

I drove it as much as I could last season but that's because I just got it and it was over ten years since I had my 68.

This spring I will be doing a bit more work to it so won't be driving it as much as I foresee I will mess up simple tasks like rebuilding and installing a carb or a rear sway bar!

I will drive it to work a few times to be sure but will probably use it more for cruising on the weekends.  With the price of gas going way up again that may not be a bad thing.

Every chance I get in the spring, summer, and fall - weather permitting.  I have to park in a gravel lot at work so I don't take it there.  But I do manage to rack up about 6000 miles a year!!

How do you guys with the 69's find ways to protect the grille ? if you had to park in a parking lot at a grocery store for example how much do you worry about some clueless idiot bumping into your front end damaging the 69 grille which we all know is almost irreplaceable.

I usually park way in the back of the parking lot with the nose pointed to the curb.
