Still looking hard for a Charger I responded to an ad on Craigslist for a 1969 Dodge Charger. Sent a message to the seller and the response I got was "sorry, my wife posted my car for sale, she is tired of it taking up room in the garage. Sorry but I'm not ready to let it go." I feel sorry for this poor man. Maybe he is a member on here and can share more or maybe some pictures. The add was listed in San Fran on Craigslist.

I'd write an ad listing her ass for sale.  :yesnod:

I've had some battles with my wife and more than a couple of them over cars but I can't even imagine something like that.  She needs to go.

Fred

That is just so unreal! I couldn't imagine sharing my life with someone who has so little regard for what's important to me.  :slap:

How about emptying the closet of all her shoes and dropping them off with Good Will?  :D

I'm glad I married who I married, because I don't have to ever worry about her complaining about my cars or anything else I own, or discovering something gone because she didn't like looking at it anymore. Same goes for her belongings, mostly her musical instruments, they're safe here.

Unless I need money for car parts.  :D

you are right man. yesterday my wife made breakfast and then i said i was goin out to shoot some pic's of old gas stations. she couldnt get ready fast enough. we cruised around for a couple hours looking through old towns around here. she says she knows of some other ones, but they would end up being over an hour the other direction so i said save em for another day. she loves the old stuff. :2thumbs:

Same here................I'm as lucky as you are or luckier for that matter as I'm allowed money for car parts too. I found my perfect match the second time around.
I'd part with my Charger before I'd ever part with her.

My Charger came from one of these scenarios. The guy bought it at 16 because he loved the Dukes of Hazzard and it was the only one he could find still running that he could afford. It was his first car, and his only car for 6 years. He met his wife in high school, they married in their 20's. When he hit 40, she asked why the Charger was still taking up space in her parents garage. Was he ever going to restore it? If not, he should sell. He hated it, but she pushed him to sell it on eBay. I sent him progress pics of it being restored and one day he sent me a note "I am so glad my car is in good hands, getting all the stuff done that I dreamed of doing someday. But please stop. It is killing me."

Mikesmoparperformance

Men when a woman gets older they gonna complain about anything. In there 20's it is all cool but later on things gonna have to move :shruggy:. I would have taken the car out of here parents garage :D and put it in a storage for the past behing . Would be a better solution then to sell the car :Twocents:.

He even asked here if see gonna fix it and I heard here boosting hes believes that the Charger was hers  :blahblah: :icon_bs:  :blahblah: :blahblah:

I think she do that to get a Rock'n Roll image  :METAL:

and I swear that she never would have the idea of selling the Charger, then she knows this marriage is over.... :badidea:

Wow, a lot of you guys talk a lot of smack IMO. Not knowing the reason as to why she listed his charger for sale is to be answered. Funny how a material item can come between two people. I know this from past experience. Chose the woman vs the car/truck. But the car can be replaced, significant other can not. If you actually chose a car vs the love of your life after years of being together, then you should have never devoted your time with her as much as you all have and be done with her now vs later.
That's my two cents of a reality check for some.
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

I agree, maybe the house need a new roof or the kids have no shoes? I've seen guys that would rather put money in their car, with bills piling up and property in need of repair. Still a few dumb ass car guys out there.

Ghoste

On the other hand, maybe she is a crack whore and she just didn't feel like working that day???

Kismgby

Agree!  I've seen my fair share of guys who have four teeth but new chrome exhaust tips...

My mindset is this....if you let him screw around in the garage, he's likely not to be screwing around elsewhere with "Miss  IJustLoveYourCar"....

No woman worth keeping would do it in the first place, hence, the better choice here IS the car.

Reading this thread reminds me of when I was looking on Craigslist one New Years eve.  There was a 70 RT 440 4spd Charger for $3,000 back in 2007.  He was selling it because he didn't want his wife to take it in the divorce.  Well me and about 5,000 other people pounded his cell phone for weeks.  I finally got a hold of him a month later, some of his friends had done it as a joke...   :brickwall:   :brickwall:   :brickwall:  JERKS!!!!

But, that eventually led me to getting my current 68, so it worked out for me.   :coolgleamA:

My wife was very supported and backed me when I first got my charger. It needed lots of work and she knew what She was getting into. She knew how much it meant to me. If she would try to sell it with out my knowledge you bet your ass we would have some serious problems. A wife should not even think about such a thing without even consulting you. Imagine if you decided to put her wedding ring on craigslist?
