I'm sure it will be appreciated in the new location too.  Think of it as sharing the experience.

A great car John.   I'm sure it's been a good ride.
It will be easier when the yellow one comes home.
Even so,  I am sure there will be moments you will miss the F6 car a little bit.
These cars get hold of you, and it's very easy to become attached to them.

John, you just put a bullet through my heart !  Can't believe you actually let "our" car go. Between the 2 of us we showed that car over 19 years. Of course under your reign it was dramatically improved. When you have time , share the story with me. In the meantime can't wait to see the debute of the yellow car. On a sadder note, i lost my wife to that horrid dimentia desease on Nov. 17, 2011. I know that you were very close to the long illness.

Wow, hope you got close to what you wanted for it.  I knew it was breaking your heart to let it go.  Just think of it this way, you could always get another toy in the future.... maybe one a little less expensive that doesn't have a wing or a nose cone.  You and I both know that if I had any way of coming up with that kind of money it would be in my garage but with where I am with my life right now, there was no possible way to make it happen.  Im sure it is going to a good home and I can't wait to see the debut of the Y2 car.

Hey John -

Dude... it's weird isn't it? How these cars become like members of our family. I kinda want to say "I'm sorry for your loss", but that would just seem a bit odd I suppose. Either way, I am sorry that one of your babies had to go, but sometimes we do what we have to do. Now of course if I had to sell my Charger I'd prolly be in therapy for a year... but that's just me.

Hope all is well man.

It has to be hard to part with such a nice Daytona. But it will not be much longer and the Y2 car will be finished.

At least the new owner will very happy with this ride.

I think if he wanted to do hot laps, he would have bought Troy's car, LOL.

The new owner of John's Daytona is Ray Evernham.   Ray has been building a collection of all the Aero cars and the Daytona was the last that he needed to have one of each.    He indicated a while back that he was looking forward to attending the Indy meet in July and was likely to have some of his cars there too.   Ray has a very nice facility in the Charlotte area to display his cars which are both street cars and race cars.    He's says that he is very happy with the F6 Daytona  (as just about anyone would be).
