Wow...
Did you read some of the commentary?  :o   And he wonders where she got it from?  :rotz:

AWSOME!!!!

For reasons like this, I do not let my kids have a computer or iPhones. I applaud this man!!!!!!  My oldest does have a basic cell phone, but that's it. My 12yo still doesn't own one, and doesn't really want one. I have the only computer in the house. If they need something, they need to ask me, and I sit right there and watch what they are doing. A lot of younger people need to grow up and realize, that there is more in the world then just sitting on their ass, and talking on the computer. They will survive with out computers and iPhones. Maybe they will grow up and actually make real life friends instead of just virtual friends.

Obviously he has another computer with internet connection to upload the video to YouTube.

Maybe he should have shot all of his computers and stay off the Internet to really make a point.
I guess in the end the real lesson for his daughter is if you come across something you don't like you should pull out your gun and shoot it.

Reminds me of the Comcast commercial.....
He might end up with a grandson wearing a dog colar.

A shot gun would have had more effect. I can understand why he's upset...I would be really pissed too...still, here's something very disturbing about that video...

I applaude this guy to the fullest. I would shake his hand if I could! I think it's great that "Hanna's" father is more popular now than she ever hoped to be. The world needs more parents that don't have to ask their wives for their balls. Good on him.

Well, it's the thought that counts. :icon_smile_big: I would have removed all the updates and then sold it for what she owed.

Actually, no, I think I would have blasted it too. :2guns: Probably would have used my 12-gauge though.

The daughter did wrong and deserved punishment for sure.

But I smell larger trouble.  IMHO the daughter's FB rant was full of too much anger & bitterness for it to be caused by just having to do a few chores.

Old Moparz

I wonder if he gave any thought as to who is going to pick out his nursing home in the future?

I agree. She mentioned some things that would make anyone on this forum pissed off.  Cleaning a floor for someone, who gets mud on it and tells you to clean it again?? That's disrespectful.  She also mentioned being told to get a job so I'm guessing she is at least 16.

I frickin' LOVE IT. That was awesome...

So many times I'll read something, and think "Really? Did you really just say that, thinking no one could see your stupid remarks?"

NOW I'll have an idea for payback  :icon_smile_cool:

Ever watched the show "World's Strictest Parents"?

I think he should watch a few of those.
Those parents really know how to make a kids life a living hell.

I agree with the fathers video about this. Now granted, I would not have shot up the computer, but it would have disappeared for a long long time. Maybe even disassembled so she could not find it and use it. Today's kids have it way to easy. When I screwed up royally or was disrespectful, either I got punished with a grounding, got spanked, or lost some kind of privilage. I have two young girls of my own and am worried right now because sometimes my older daughter does not listen like she should. There is no reason why she needed to post stuff like that and make your family issues public.

Nice to see he is keeping the news media out of his personal life especially since the news media is only shows what they want to after they twist it all out of proportion. :2thumbs:

He did it exactly right in my opinion. blasting it so there was no repairing it and posting it on her facebook showing that she was busted for her behavior. The only reason she did it was for attention from her peers because she hid it from everyone in her family other than her dog, thats how her dad found it.

He deserves father of the year award.

:iagree: That seemed a little over the top. And how she mentions having to pour coffee for him all the time. Almost sounds as if she's like a personal servant. I can get my own coffee. I would never expect my kid to do stuff like that for me. Not saying what she did is right. It's just that whole situation is a little disturbing IMHO.

If I had a daughter that was refusing to get a job to pay for the stuff she wants I would give her all sorts of work to do around the house. Might as well learn how to be a waitress or maid because at the rate she seems to be going, that or stripping are the only decent-paying jobs she's going to get once the folks boot her out.

Without knowing more I really have to wonder what kind of relationship dad has with his daughter; the entire family for that matter.  I can appreciate dad's anger but after thinking it over I just feel sorry for them.  At least they're popular and no doubt daughter has seen this by now.  What do you suppose her opinion of dad is now?

Sixteen year old girls can be a handful but they still need unconditional love - and responsibilities and clear boundaries.  They aren't pets, servants or slaves.  Parents are supposed to be raising them to be able to make their own way in the world.
