found a brand new never opened set of 8, six pack pistons.. wondering if they would be a good idea for my 440.. mild cam, stock rods, stock crank, ported/polished heads, etc..

the 6 pack pistons are good for compression but what over size are they , depending on the condition of the block you may need .030 oversize or bigger . the only problem with the 6 pack piston is they can be heavy

The 6-pack slugs are excellent ! They will give you a nice boost in compression  :2thumbs: No problem running them with stock rods....just keep the rpm's at 6000 and you'll be fine.  :yesnod:

I have the trw six pack slugs in my 440. With stock 452 heads , mopar .509 hyd. cam,  10" converter and 4.56 gears it runs 12.70's at 106mph all day long on any gas in my '68 charger at 3900lbs. I shift at 6100-6200 rpm no problems so far, stock rods too.  Sounds like you found a good deal.   :2thumbs:

Try and find out if the pistons are stock bore or oversize before purchasing. Are they factory pistons or aftermarket forged ?

Important questions to ask before spending any cash  :yesnod:
