Title Search in Indiana

I was wondering if there was anyone who has done a title search in Indiana and could answer a couple questions. I have a '69 Super Bee that I believe was sold new in Indiana but was only there for 1-2 years.  Some states offer no title history search, some states dispose of records if the vehicle has not been registered in the state in the last 5 years, and some states keep all records.  Does anyone know what method Indiana goes by?  I'm so close to finding out the original owner of my car!  Thanks for any advice.

My experience was that Indiana has no records older than 20 years, and minimal info for years 5 thru 20.  At least that they would - or - could share with me (and the car) being out-of-state.

I bought my '68 Road Runner in 2009 outside Indiana, and it's last reg had been in Indiana in 2003. To the state the car no longer existed.

Thanks. So more than likely , I'm out of luck. I'd love to know where the car came from.  Some dealerships still have records and I'd like to find anything that I can. I've traced it through four owners and all the way back to 1971.  I'm at the finish line and I tripped and fell. Haha. I'll still get in touch with them and hopefully get lucky. Thanks again!

Ask T-B, I hear he's pretty good at Titles in Indiana.

I still have all the original invoices for the cars sold at our families Dodge dealership from 1965-1975
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Within the past 10 years I ran a title history check via the BMV for a 1991 vehicle. They sent me copies of titles issued to every owner since new, and half were from St. Louis. Someone went through them and blacked out SS#'s for most previous owners, but they missed a couple. Not sure if that service still exists.
